Disney Channel Halloween Movie Book Tag

So I was tagged by Emily at Emily the Book Nerd (thanks Emily!) to do the Disney Channel Halloween Movie Book Tag. The tag was created by Book Princess Reviews.

I love Halloween and I love creepy/scary movies. I also like some of the cute movies that the Disney Channel puts out, although honestly, I haven’t watched very many of them. This is probably because I’m a bit older than is generally considered Disney Channel age. LOL But… here we go!

RULES

  1. Tag the creator (bookprincessreviews) of the DHM tag.
  2. Thank the person who tagged you.
  3. Answer the questions.
  4. Tag five more people.

HalloweenTown: Where is your favorite place to go for Halloween or a place you want to go?

This one is kind of difficult. I don’t really have a favorite place I like to go for Halloween or a place I really want to go. I’d honestly rather just decorate my house/porch and hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters!

Under Wraps: What’s something that used to be scary to you and then you realized it wasn’t just the mummy in this movie?

Well, I’ve never seen this movie, so anything that might have been scary to me before definitely wouldn’t have just been the mummy in Under Wraps. But… I used to be terrified of thunderstorms. I’d lived in an area in California where we didn’t get them, then I moved to Iowa and they happened all summer long there. Now that I’m older, I love the storms though. I can’t wait for a good storm to read a creepy book!

Tower of Terror: What’s the scariest place you’ve ever been to?

Probably the group home I worked for. It was a group home for the mentally challenged, and honestly, that place was super haunted. We’d routinely find faucets running, laundry barrels rolling down halls by themselves, chairs two feet in the air rocking back and forth. We’d occasionally see a couple of ghosts as well. It was an interesting place and very scary when the residents of the home didn’t notice anything while the staff was all freaked out!

Twitches: If you could be any supernatural creature, what would you be?

Probably a witch. Most of the other creatures either eat animals or people in some form and honestly, I just can’t. My vegetarian self just can’t. LOL

Don’t Look Under the Bed: Were you scared of monsters when you were a kid? When did it stop?

Interestingly enough, I’ve never been scared of fictional things. I’ve only ever been scared of real things, so no, I wasn’t scared of monsters when I was a kid.

Phantom of the Megaplex: Do you watch scary movies? If so, what is your favorite or the one you got most afraid of?

I LOVE scary movies. They don’t really scare me, but I love watching them. My favorite is the original Halloween series, plot holes and all. I also really like the SAW series and The Conjuring movies. The Annabelle movies are awesome too.

The Scream Team: Who would be on your dream team if you went on a ghost/supernatural creature hunt?

Probably the Warrens, although that’s definitely a dream as Ed and Lorraine Warren have both passed away now. But if they were still alive, I would most definitely want them on my team.

Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire: Have you ever witnessed something/someone that could only be explained by the paranormal? If yes, what/who?

A duplex I lived in when I lived in Texas had a “residual” haunting going on. Every night, you’d heard a wooden chair scrape across a wood floor. Then you’d hear the sounds of dishes being done. This was coming from my bedroom closet. The kitchen was on the other side of the closet wall, but the kitchen had tile. The duplex had no wooden floors at all. Not to mention, there were only three people in that half of the duplex and there wouldn’t be anyone in the kitchen at the time. We finally found out a house had burned down on the property. We thought maybe there was more to that fire than met the eye.
